Very useful intuitive app Was sceptical about the new updates permission to access contacts and photos..but was promptly contacted by the developer. Permissions are required as follows: Access to contacts – We use this permission to access Android’s account manager which we use to securely store your FedEx user id and password. Access to photos, media and files on the device – Used to copy your user information and shipments from the older version of the app to this upgrade.
Looks like the kick you out issue been fixed. Now you still don't have push notifications yet, that is really needed. I like having emails, but also push notifications to my phone would be awesome too. I do like the new design though.
Want to know why this app needs to access my photos media and files on my phone. And manage my phone calls,,, Denied,,, This is not a social media app you ship packages you don't need that access
Great looking update! Looks nice and more features! The contacts permission was odd at first but looked it up and Google means "save credentials" basically. Weird permission naming Google! Good job FedEx!
Permissions? Please explain all the permissions. Thank you for the explanation of the permissions. I wish you could find another technique. That said, I understand the Android framework has its foibles. Let's see how this goes.
Why does this app need to access my contacts and photos just to track packages? I'm not comfortable with that so uninstall it is.... Sucks!
