About this app

Protect yourself against robberies, cell phone thefts, vehicle thefts, and other crimes. The "Stay Safe Ribeirão Preto" app shows the number of police incidents, by street section, in Ribeirão Preto, SP, between January 2022 and April 2026. With it, you can view your real-time location on the map, identify the crime history in your current location and at specific addresses. The app was developed by Fifth Level Research and Development in GIS, with no ties to any government. The app was not developed by or on behalf of the São Paulo State government. However, it uses official data available on the transparency website of the São Paulo State Public Security Secretariat (SSP SP) at https://www.ssp.sp.gov.br/estatistica/consultas. For the app's development, files were downloaded from the SSP SP website at the address above. The files contain data from police reports (B.O.) registered throughout the state of São Paulo between January 1, 2022, and April 30, 2026. The B.O. have the following investigated natures: robberies and thefts of cell phones, robberies and thefts of vehicles, deaths due to police interventions (MDIP), and crimes of another nature. The Fique Seguro Ribeirão Preto app only shows locations with 5 or more police reports. Criminal data is updated in the app every four months.

Payment will be charged to your Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase. According to the Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8.078/1990, Art. 49), you can request a full refund when the cancellation occurs within seven days of purchase. Google Play processes automatic refunds within 48 hours of purchase in Google Play → Subscriptions. After 48 hours and within the seven-day period, you can also request a refund directly by emailing [e-mail]. Please include in your message the order number, the order date, and, if possible, proof of purchase from Google Play.
