Bought a monthly ticket for travel in 3-5 zones, been using it for the past 2 weeks, got on the bus this morning and the ticket had disappeared!! None of my details seemed to have been there either. Eventually had to delete the app and download it again then log back in and the ticket and all my details were there again, obviously by this point I'd had to pay to use the bus, i needed to get to work!
This app saves me few quids, however sometime take ages to open the app. This is the real pain in the a** when you get into a bus but can't show the ticket to driver. I managed to find a way but this is not gonna help in the long run. I keep trying to open the app at least 10 hours before riding the bus. Most times it works. Immediate attention needed to resolve this problem.
Used to work fine if a little slow, but having upgraded my phone to Android 7.1.1 it now won't open saying I don't have an Internet connection when I do, and a strong one at that. Re-install of App, Re-start of phone has no effect. Data is not restricted to app, and all other apps access data with no problems. The app is now effectively holding all my pre-purchased tickets hostage. Sort it out.
Bought day tickets for me and my kids (3 different devices) and the app worked fine for us all. I did have problems passing child tickets on having purchased them on my account, however a call to customer service and it was sorted. What would be great is if you could buy single / return tickets, or even just find out the what the price would be for these journeys.
Good, could be better. Good: cashless tickets, accepted on the bus without hitch, buy tickets to activate later. Could be better: laggy interface is like a choose your own adventure game with added time travel. Back button doesn't always work, form resubmission after validation failure doesn't work forcing you to hit back button and go back in.
The app has a problem on Samsung devices, where if any app is open in the background, the mTicket app may show a black screen and not open. When this issue happened to me I wrote an email of complaint to First Bus, and they told me the quick fix to the issue, plus refunded me the costs I incurred from being unable to open the app. 4 stars, despite the issue, due to the friendly and quick customer service. Will be five when the issue is fixed
