Fitbit, what is going on at your company are you trying to implode like jawbone? Look at the reviews, and they detail problem after problem and most are very similar. While I have seen the sync fail often I find particularly frustrating after completing a run the app shows the event, but then it deletes the map and the splits. It tracks the data and the deletes it! I have reported this issue in January and recently again to the VP of support and while I have received emails thanking them for the heads up, no resolution as of yet. I have even received an email asking if it's fixed yet when it's clearly not resolved if you look at the data. I have reinstalled the app countless times, formated my Galaxy S7, purchased a new Fitbit and tried everything on the Fitbit help site. If Fitbit is trying to lose customers, please continue. I will end with this, last year when I started with Fitbit everything worked without issue. What the heck happened?
Works for awhile, and then stops syncing. The problem is getting worse; uninstalling and reinstalling used to remedy the problem, but that is no longer true. I am on my second fit bit device, and still have the same issues. I am no longer able to participate in the programs my employer offers because of the android syncing problem. Why can't you fix this issue. The issue is more than a year old.
I've only been using it for one day and I love it so far! I just upgraded from the Polar F7 and have found this app and my Fitbit Alta HR very easy to understand and navigate so far. I was very surprised to see that the Fitbit can identify the type of exercise I was doing. I did 45 minutes on my elliptical and it recorded it as such without me having added the type of exercise I did. It also accurately recorded the time I went to bed and the time I woke up. Knowing my sleep patterns and whether or not I'm getting the right amount of each sleep stage is something I know will be very helpful. Pretty impressed so far!
I love my Fitbit, but the app is not reliable. With every update, I must mess around trying to get it to sync. VERY annoying! 31 Oct: another update, no sync as usual. Really?20 Nov: ANOTHER update, guess what? Sync????!!!!! New year, another update, same s--t. 6 May: Bring back the old dashboard!!! June: new update, sync issues. Sigh. The incredible sucky-ness of this app continues. Now it is deleting steps. Seriously?
I really like this app. Especially the challenges in Yosemite. I wish there were more of these I've done them all and NYC doesn't interest me too much. Also when you pass a landmark it's really hard to read about it as the text doesn't appear for long and it's hard to dunderhead spot where I comes up. I really like the sleep tracking. I find it really helpful to identify what impacts on my sleep. I do wish it would pick up when you're doing strength training but I don't know if that would be possible. I have an Alta and a HTC have no issues with syncing or crashing.
Really like that it records my heart rate sleep patterns very interesting info. But one bad thing is the way it records steps, by arm movements. Being I'm a painter I use my arms and hands all day. but not many steps tho. So it doubles my step count (according to my phone and my walk logger app) That throws off the calories burned count an other things. If fitbit could sync with my walk logger and get a more accurate step count that would be great and make my 3 stars rating a solid 5 stars
