The GPS function of this app is accurate, within seconds and feet of my Garmin Forerunner 310XT. Finds satellites quickly. I highly recommend it. Great for walking, running, and biking. As a side benefit, my teenage son has started biking with me and has begun to take an interest in how far we ride. :) The only thing I'd like to see added is a lap button for when I walk/run at the track. Otherwise, everything is great. :)
I paid to subscribe to their 'Go' service, but can't get the app to connect to the Runkeeper training program I signed up for. They said it's a problem of the app being unable to connect to their server. Only way to get the app to work is to force stop it, then restart. Nothing like having to play with your app for a few minutes when you want to run.
GPS tracking is truly horrendous! Why am I jumping between buildings during my run? Even if the signal is shoddy, can't the app autocorrect it to a road nearby? I use Nike+ along with this, and that tracks without errors and with superb accuracy. As if this is not enough, the charts page just doesn't load and makes my phone unusable until I kill the app. Either issue a full refund or fix these issues.
This app is just great! Setting goals, getting new exercise ideas and syncing with music apps! The only reason that I gave 4 stars (instead of 5) is because the current pace is not precise.
This app got me involved in running, has helped me improve, and has kept me motivated and interested by tracking my goals and progress. Since starting, I've run in half-marathons and have my eyes on doing a full marathon this year! And even during periods I've fallen off track or fallen away from running all together, Runkeeper has helped me to get back on track! I've experimented with others before but this is by far my favorite running app.
Tracking works very well once it actually starts. Most times it's about a 30 second delay between clicking "Go Running" until the countdown starts. Also long delays navigating between screens/functions to the point where I usually just give up. Constant pop-up from my phone letting me know that Runkeeper is not responding and asking me if I want to shut it down or wait. The app worked great for at least a year but the last few updates have been giving me trouble.
Introducing a brand new Android Wear 2.0 experience! Leave your phone at home. You can now track a run with a GPS-enabled watch alone.
All stats tracked with your watch will sync with the app on your phone. That means you’ll be able to see mapped routes after you save.
