Both my wife and I have been using this for almost a year. She has tried many diets but this was the easiest to continue with. She uses the Windows version; me on my android tablet. Both are good. Pros: easy to use, easy to get into habit of logging, good for planning for a day's meals even if you are going out to eat. Con: many of the calorie listings are given as "1 serving". What is that: for a teenage boy or a fragile 90 year old in a nursing home?
I used to love this app. It is my go to for calorie counting and tracking. I Also use a fitbit and love that they sync together. So I track my food on lose it because I love the UI AND format and just the way this app works and saves my food and then track my calories burned through fitbit natural tracker. Recently there have been changes to the app so that in order to continue syncing with fitbit you need a premium account. I now have to pay for something I've had for free this whole time? Eh. Not feeling it.
Great for calorie counting. Doesn't do anything else without a monthly subscription. Not cheap either. Easy solution is to download other apps to perform those functions. Save some money by doing a little extra work yourself. Also on the technical side, often when I am connected to a Wi-Fi network the app constantly says it's unable to do anything because it doesn't have a network connection, despite having a 80 megabit network all to it's self. Network tests fine and other apps experience no issues.
Very helpful in keeping track of my intake, and being realistic, while optomistic about weight loss. Most importantly, I have steadily lost weight. :0) It is very easy to use. One of the best things about this app is YOU decide what you are going to eat, and how many calories you want to spend and on what foods. Badges are motivational and little reminders are helpful, not nagging. I like how it adjust suggested calorie amounts for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, based upon what you have already eaten that day. I also love how it gives you a projected date for your goal weight, and adjusts it as you go along.
This app is extemely helpful with weightloss. I did have the premium pack for a year but it wasnt really worth it for me to keep. I had it a few years ago so im not sure how much it changed but it didnt keep track of vitamins which i really need and fitbit does for free. I just find this app more user friendly with entering food data. I quit the app and gained back some weight but im already losing again! Ten pounds til my goal! Thank you to the creaters of this app, youve changed my life for the better!
I did app that cost $20 month for six months with little result. Found this free app and decided to go ahead and upgrade for a year for about the same as the previous app monthly rate. I've lost weight and paying a fraction. Easy to use with scanner and very few foods that I haven't found. Easy to put in recipes to calc per serving calories, easy to log exercises.
