Website is great; App sucks It's a good weight room log but it lacks everything else. The website is much more feature rich than the app. It's difficult to find and interact with people you know.
Like the website but bad android app Every time I open the app, it crashes. When I open it a second time it works. My level and continuous score never updates, even though I add workouts. The feed always shows me what was new back when I installed the app upon opening it. Has to reload it to show me recent things. Very slow in general. Want it to be as good as the website.
Fitocracy hates Android users Loading routines will hang the app. General slowness. Better to just use the website when you are at a computer. It's clear they don't care about the android app. I was hoping to change this review but over the last three years across new phones these issues persistent. They will never likely hook into Google Fit since it isn't Apple Healthkit. I really liked using this system to score points for workouts. It's a shame they only care about Apple development.
Will not update This app. Worked the first time I tried it, but now all I get is a blank screen showing the update icon (nothing you can do). I only have so much time to exercise and this program never updated during. May have been better if I could have least seen my old work while this thing updated, Will uninstall.
Forever Updating The routine updating is obnoxiously long, happens way too often (as well as happening only right as I go to start a routine), and the add to workout option sometimes takes a dozen tries or more. It also mixes up sets, so they initially display out of order, and displays competed sets in history randomly out of order. I love you guys, please fix it! HTC one M8 running ART. Edit 5/29: Issues above remain; removing a Star and uninstalling app. Contemplating closing Hero account as well. Please fix it!
Update: This version no longer seems to be maintained by the developer. It's been 6 months without a patch and known bugs are staking up. I cannot recommend this app on Android in it's current condition. Old: Great for tracking exercise, doesn't have intrusive ads, simple UI, web service backed. The 2.0 version brought a faster-to-use UI.
