Amazingly complex This is pretty cool! Its a simple Swiss clock basically. But just the fact that you're looking into the working mechanisms of a watch is a great opportunitity. It is a perfect example of "Could this device be designed without a designer?" As in "How could the world be created without a Creator?" Seriously, the gears didn't just magically appear like that. They were designed by someone. Makes u think, doesn't it? HINT HINT atheistic peoplez HINT HINT!
Nice work, needs an update, though I've been doing study into the Mechanism for my own computer science research, and I found the AMRP's new 2012 model very appealing, with proposed planetary geartrains as well. I'd love if you did an update, but since it's open source, I might do it myself over the summer if you don't. Thanks for your work.
Antikythera An absolutely brilliant app the mechanism looks like it was something out of the 20th century 19th at least, but as time goes on more is found out about it one of the hands actually institutes phases of the moon so it is a celestial timepiece of grand design. 5 stars for the mechanism and for the application so download it and check it out for yourself and tell me that it's not one of the most fascinating things you've seen the app itself is brilliantly executed.👍
Love it! Not the complete clock, but it seems it's being improved over time. Greek comments in the source code. Love everything about this project
I have a refreshed appreciation for Greece An amazing contemplation, and an amazing execution. Would, of course, be better with shadows, but that might blow up my GPU.
Exciting Special thanks for the source code. Now i have an interresting project to learn OpenGLES. Maybe i first try to add the gyro sensor. All the best, Henning
-Added a button to easily switch between pan and rotate modes.
-Open-sourced the project. You may find the source code at github (direct link in app description)
