App is a data hog filled with clickbait. Any news link you click on auto plays a full video/audio add that you have to physically stop. No way to turn off this function. This is an add app disguised as a news app. Edit: It gets worse. Now the sidebar opens once the page fully loads. To get rid of it you have to back out of the app and start over. Deleting this app. 5news has become a laughing stock. Can't rely on them for anything in the River Valley anymore. Edit #2: now there are popups

I wish I could just have the weather app w/out the other stuff. On this app, I can't turn off notifications for the news. I only want push notifications for weather-- not all the negative news blowing up my phone. Also, everytime I try to access the radar on the weather, it closes the app, which is very frustrating during severe weather. And my weather keeps defaulting to another town, even though I've repeatedly reset it. 5News is the best weather station, so PLEASE fix your app!

Installed the 5News app as a simple weather app, but unfortunately, even though the options are there I can't stop other types of news push notifications. 5News insists on berating me with incredibly depressing news with no way of turning it off making it unusable for weather alerts, no thanks.
