Fixa is a platform for managing local municipal infrastructure problems, providing reporting functionality, management, and analysis of the issues. It is mainly aimed at municipalities and seeks to build a constructive partnership with community members and heighten awareness regarding management of infrastructure problems. The platform enables community members to report local infrastructure problems using the internet, like: ● Broken and leaking pipes.
● Open street water and electricity meters.
● Dripping taps.
● Broken street lamps.
● Discarded trash bins.
● Litter on the streets.
Users of the platform can also make suggestions for improving the infrastructure of their neighbourhood. The platform is available through the Internet and users can report problems using either a personal computer or their mobile phones. It provides the capability to determine the exact location of the problem on a map using GPS, and can upload relevant photos. All problems are displayed on the map of the region, while the solved ones are displayed separately. The platform provides users with information about the resolution stage of the reported problem.
