Not impressed. I like the controls srtup better than the default Samsung camera, but this app is slow to focus, doesn't support highest photo resolution, doesn't have all of the filters, and it can't even take basic video (I am not looking for manual video controls like you get on Cinema FV 5). The advertisement button for Cinema V5 is a waste of space. But I like how the ISO can exceed my default camera app's limits. This app is too expensive.
Basic manual controls and that's all. No fluff. Designed for shooting raw, but... It's very slow. 2fps when shooting raw on my OnePlus 3T with 6gb of ram and 64bit 8 core processor. The file sizes aren't that big, 30mb for the raw and 20mb for the PNG, so that's 50mb per image. Even if you double that for control data I have more than enough ram to buffer hundreds of images. So, I can't imagine why it is so slow.
Used this app with both, my Nexus5 and my OnePlus2. On both phones, it produced by far the best photo results (compared with stock camera, Google camera and CM's Snap camera). Also, it's highly configurable. -2 stars though as the location is not included in photo file, even as the location icon is displayed. -1 star because on my current OnePlus5, the dual camera setup is not yet implemented.
Hey there! I'm shooting RAW (.DNG) with my OnePlus 5. Unfortunately, the raw images end up with a pink glow over them, which is pre frustrating. Any idea how to solve this?
Camera worked great for RAW photos on my Samsung S7, but after an OS software update it no longer takes RAW and the program mode consistently under exposes all photos. I hope they fix this.
This app does not work with my S7 it makes it seem like all the photos take are pure black. I have sent them an email but there has been no response or indication they are working on it. Huge waste of money!
- Improved: support for ultra wide aspect ratio screens (Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6).
- Improved: battery usage while the app is not in the foreground.
- Fixed many other smaller issues.
