Flipd was described to me as a hardline app for those with a phone addiction. Yes the full lock function does provide you with some respite when it is activated, however unlike other similar apps like Qualitytime Flipd does not automate it's scheduled block times. Instead it sends you a notification to remember to block your phone. If you have the self-control to stick to your schedule just by getting a reminder you probably don't need an app like this in the first place. This half-hearted function really brings my opinion of the app down. If they could automate scheduled block times to assist users to stick to their schedule this app would be a powerful, useful and indispensable tool.
I bought premium version, but quite disappointed. Whitelisted apps don't open ( they open for fraction of second and again close ) while mobile is locked by this app. Only 3 apps can be added to whitelist, that should have been customizable like more apps in premium version . calling dialer and sms messenger should have been among default apps. Morever you can overcome blocking by flipd simply by restarting mobile as power key remains functional,there should be option like autostart of flipd on restart so that it's foolproof or option to inactivate power key functions. Hoping for these modifications in next update of flipd

Flipd was actually required for us to have for a chemistry class. I was a little confused at first and worried that no one would be able to contact me in case of emergency. But, everything still works....just keeps you on track for those easily distracted by phones. It is actually very helpful! I'll be keeping this app long after chemistry class is over.

This app really helped me get to work and focus during the day. It allowed me to set times when oh would not want to use my phone to do things like study or go outside. I really recommend this app for anyone trying to limit phone use.

I was hoping for a cure for inability to shut off my phone, but I cracked it in 10 seconds: I pulled down the alert bar and opened the phone's settings. When I closed the settings, Flipd didn't come back up. The Flipd icon shows up in the alert bar with the notice "1 seconds remaining", but nothing happens and I have full use of my phone. I had high hopes but maybe the recent Android update brought this work around up?

Great app, Very helpful. I have some constructive criticism though. The problem is when I reset my phone or even turn it off and then on again, flipd doesn't work for 10-20secs. In that time of span, I can simply go to setting and disable the app. See? Flipd can be bypassed. I really wish you guys would do something to prevent this. Hi Emily, thanks for your feedback. Did you try the Full Lock? It has tighter restrictions and is much harder to crack. - Alanna Great app, Very helpful. I have some constructive criticism though. It has a great structure but it would be great if it actually locked you out! It doesn't even luck you out if just has a message for you when you go on your phone when your not supposed to saying "you didn't stay flipd off" 😒
Best app for me.. This is first time I am giving rating or review to any application.. I am mobile addict.. I need to watch my mobile in every 30 secs.. But after installing this app and set it to 12 hrs.. First 1 hr.. My hand many times automatically went to mobile.. And next 11 hrs.. I didn't touched my mobile.. Because of no use.. Wow.. Loved it.. Thank you. For making such a wonderful app.. 😊
Great app for blocking distractions, has a few kinks that could be worked out, like if you really wanted to you could restart your phone and disable it, but it does provide a solid deterrent from going through the hassle during those times you'd usually mindlessly grab your phone
This app is useful... But i gave 4 stars instead of 5 because anyone can unlock it(in case of full lock also).. as anyone can go for the option '60 seconds unlock' and then uninstall the app and then easily use the mobile.. The change in app which to be done is- there should be an option in app for no unistallation of app while we are flipd off... Once we are not flipd off ,then we can unistall the app(if we want) ... Or else everyone can unistall it while they are flipd off and can use the phone.... This is to be corrected and then i will give 5 stars...
I hope there's a function where I can let specific people flipd me off without my permission, just like in the good old days
It was working perfectly but today it has stopped working . it won't let me sign in using my email or my Facebook . i've reinstalled it and the problem wasn't fixes . i hope it works again soon . Thank you :')

Thanks Romulo! Some features, like the gallery, calculator and notes have study/ work functions. It would be better if it locked certain apps of your choice instead

Hi Lizzie, thanks for your review. The permission pop-up is just a requirement from Google. We don't make or manage phone calls on your behalf, but you can use Flipd and still make or receive calls. Great app. But it takes a little time for the lock to work if you restart your phone. Make it so that it works instantly.
The best app for in some sense forcing productivity in whatever you do. In my case it was studying.
I wany to run the app even after "reboot" in full lock. so that it is not reset in reboot
Great app, helps me get on with work with no distractions from my phone whatsoever!!
It would be best if it have allowed the option of whitelisting of apps at free of cost

Thanks Rohit! - Alanna It's a great app but there is a catch that if I restart my phone, it takes a little time to relock the device again and in that moment I can uninstall the app and get rid of the lock. Please resolve this issue by either somehow blocking the uninstallation process or locking it just after when we switch the phone on. And only then I can give 5 starts that it deserves.
In one word I'd describe it as Saviour. | A little work on the designing please, the time screen because why not? Could be more classy you know. However, it's an important & a great thing. Indebted.
When I had it on...it still allowed me to pull down the notifications bar and select. Then select the home button and it took me home. And I was able to access everything. I have a galaxy.
