Very helpful app I have had great luck getting remote view to work locally or remotely. My phone is an android MotoG. I think the best part of this app is the Event List. When I get an motion event email, I pull up the Event List and watch the video that shows what caused the motion event. I just started using the new app seems to work. I do not like the new colors and I think the menus take up too much room on the view screen.
The app itself works pretty well and connects most of the time, actually much better chance than my wife's Apple version. The push notification is very slow, on avg 2 minutes, so don't expect it to warn you that someone is coming cause they'll be there before you get the notification. What it really needs the ability to select the motion areas like the PC and Apple versions. Over all it's ok. They haven't updated it in a year so I'm not expecting any improvement soon though.
Great App Works great most times. Easy interface and easy to setup. Biggest issue you'll find is with Android compared to Apple devices you will not be able to toggle between the video quality (from main to sub). Apple you can see 3MP view live and pinch and zoom. With Android you get resolution not supported error and have to leave revert back to substream mode. Please update Android to match quality of Apple.
Update - I took the recommendation of the manual and connected via IP instead of by device ID and QR cd. Works much better, and works every time now. Original post - This worked for awhile, and now doesn't. I see that the Apple App Store has an updated version of 06/01/2016 v. 2.1.35 out. I hope Android can get an update soon. I have users that need to view and cannot. This should just work. Please fix this, or default the proper settings on the base unit and the mobile phones so it can work.
Useful and powerful, but difficulties with setup Like many other reviewers, I could not get any video connectivity remotely, only when connected to WiFi at home. I could connect remotely, but always got an error when trying to view video. I was finally able to get video to work once I set the "Register Mode" to "IP/Domain" instead of using the device ID (how it registers when scanning the QR code). Once I did that, video connects quickly and reliably.
I can almost never connect to my cameras even on 4G LTE. I get nothing but a black screen and cannot see cameras on T-Mobile or Sprint networks while away. I can only access on my Verizon phone, which is my work phone. I'm stuck with this 16 camera system that I'm constantly having issues accessing. Would be nice if Lorex updates this with more compatibility, or develops another FLIR Cloud app that works better. I don't see friends that have Swann, Q-see, or other systems having this problem.
- App reconnects to the system automatically after returning from the lock screen or home screen
- Fixed "failed to login" issue when scanning QR code before entering other system details
- Improved FLIR Cloud connectivity
- Bug fixes
