Horrible appl. This apps actually makes you less productive. Notifications (sound or vibrating) from any other apps will stop the music from playing and shut down the app. Also there is no app preview /controls for the app in the notification panel so you'd have to tediously go through the app drawer or opened apps list to physically rechoose the app in order to control the app. These all interrupt any short moments of focusedness that you couldve had.
I love the concept but the app is rubbish. Unless the screen stays on (bye bye battery), it stops after every track until you turn the screen on again - hello total distraction. Also - I want to have an option to have my phone in flight mode and still use the app because - more distractions! Needs a lot of work, not sure I will renew my premium membership, especially considering the strong competition.
I love the focus@will service and the Web player works great. Unfortunately the phone app is useless, it times out after one song, if you it plays at all. No player control on lock screen. Basically, not usable.
Mobile app still needs a lot of polishing, web app is much better now but eats resources. However music is way much better then spotify focus playlists or anything else there. So just because basic functionality works so well I am giving 5 stars to this app.
Music keeps dropping out during track change. I don't know if the issue with connection or Android shutting the app down when screen is off or even with the fact that I'm using BT headphones, but in either case, fix it! And for G-s sake add some standard player controls in notification drop-down. I do hope the app is in for a major refresh, in line with the web version.
Great start. Needs offline option so it dosn't use all my data - then I would use it every day!
