02/10/2017: So got tried of newest version so I uninstalled it. Rebooted the phone and re-installed. It is now working. 02/01/2017: Just installed a newer and now doesn't work! Great fix-not! Better than old version. I can see more driving and charging history which is great. Does not work on my tablet so if that got added/fixed it would but great. I like to see just a few changes. One would be to have the driving and charging history separated so driving can be viewed. Then add starting odometer. Make history exportable as well. There is a lot of room for more.
CRASHES. Just installed the new update and now it crashes every time. Can't open. If Ford didn't want anyone to use the app any longer, they should have just removed it. Or this is a case of the developers not testing before they released it. Revert back to the old version while you figure out the bug so that we can at least use the app!
The update from January 27, 2017 failed to work on my LgG5. I submitted reports daily when the app would fail. Through reading other reviews, I learned that clearing the app settings might help. I did that and the app appears to be working at this time. The app developer responding to the app failing submissions would be helpful....just saying 😉
Do you have to do an update in the middle of a Canadian winter that causes remote start to stop working on a Google Pixel? It's seriously - 10 degrees Celsius right now, the time that you need a remote start! Not to mention the winter charge dropped to 15 km.
As others have reported, the latest version of the App will not open for me. It displays the "Ford" logo, then "MyFord Mobile has stopped". Nexus 6P, Android 7.1.1. Hopefully this info will help get the app working again! (Rating this based on the prior version.) Added 2017/02/01: clearing app data actually does get this to work. Android 7.1 - settings/apps/MyFord Mobile/Storage/Clear Data - re-enter your password, and it's working again.
Update 2/7/17 - it updated, now the app no longer works at all... Update - still dislike the app. The newer user interface is nice, however it doesn't fix how slow the app updates sometimes. It's okay sometimes, and other times it takes 2 full minutes, and sometimes it doesn't work at all! Not to mention, at least the old app had the correct car in the picture. Now it shows a blurry Focus, when it knows i have a Fusion... can't seem to change the picture to the correct car myself either...
