Have the Q Grant. I think the app is pretty good; colourful, quirky, friendly. It hasn't crashed and everything mostly works. Having said that, I think it's missing out on a whole lot of functionality that should be simple to add. The vibration is subtle and easy to miss so a repeat and more flashes would be incredibly helpful. Also, the watch is tethered to the phone by Bluetooth so how about some vibrations and flashes when the pairing is lost, to alert you to the possible loss or theft of your phone?
I absolutely love Fossil & both my Q Founder & Q Cremaster very much. Recently this app has actually been working & has come along way from what it was. I am finally getting the full use out of my Hybrid & it's brilliant. It stays connected & functioning with the app closed. This is great. However when it does disconnect it's a little tricky getting it connected again (aeroplane mode on then off) fixes it. I do find the Q Link to not work with my phone camera as it seems to zoom rather than take a photo. It would be nice to have the option "all other notifications" like there is an option for "all call" and "all texts" as well as specific contacts. Keep at it Fossil! Thank you!
This is pretty good but after I loaded an "upgrade " it kept losing my data and I had to keep unloading and reloading to app. I hope they have it sorted. There's a few things I love though. Vibrating when one of my family calls as don't always hear my phone, and I love setting the other time zone as my daughters in Canada. Overall I do like it.
Crewmaster really looks great and the app does a good job. Some features I feel it is missing are: 1. info what time you fell asleep, 2. More notifications (or share contacts and apps) 3. Q link button function to dynamically change function according to app opened (song change with spotify open, shutter with camera app, goal with no app)
I purchased the Q Motion 5 days ago. I had no issues connecting it to my Nexus 5x via Bluetooth. I liked how The Fossil Q app synced with my Google Fit app. Both apps stay running on my Android device simultaneously and I'm only noticing a few steps missing here and there. The only reason I still run both apps is because I like the Google Fit widget. I wish that Fossil also made a widget. This way I don't always have to find the application and open it just to see my steps. Having widgets on screen is convenient for any Android device user and Fossil should utilize this as it can make their app look more sleek and up to date and give it's Android users the full experience.
I can't wait to return it. It's not tracking all steps. Also once I installed it it interferes with my settings. It says I'm driving when I'm not driving. I wondered if that why it is not tracking all my steps. I have my phone less and my phone has more steps than the Q. A step or two wouldn't matter but hundreds of steps is not okay. I have called before. No thank you. When I first got it and couldn't get it to work I called. That was not a good experience and it wasn't helpful either. I have purchased watches from there so you haven't lost my business in that regard. I live in another area so that's the only reason I haven't took it back already.
