Not Good Enough Not working as it should, not happy as a Pro member. Not enough updates, I can't add another player to the score card. No option for the red/white/blue tee setting therefore I get incorrect score.
Improves my golf game This app has been great. Really helps improve my game using the GPS - which has proven to be very accurate on my Nexus 6. Keeps track of so many different statistics, so I know exactly when I screwed up. Highly recommend!
Why mess with a good thing? This newer version is a step backwards. Go back to the old. So simple. Scorecard sucks now. Have to scroll to find # of strokes, just use # keypad. Doesnt circle birdies, square bogies, split scores @ 9 hole mark. This new update might send me looking for another app.
Very good straightforward app with extras I started with the free version and used that on my windows mobile phone. When I moved to android I looked around as there were many more apps 3 years later. Still freecaddie meets my needs so I checked out the free version before buying the pro. It has allowed me to add bunkers and a dogleg that were missing from my home course. Developers USED TO listen to feedback and act on it. BUT YOU HAVEN'T REMOVED THE ELEVATION DATA SO IT IS STILL ILLEGAL IN COMPETITION PLAY. And you've added an advert in paid app
I've been using it for years. Always worked well and has been evolving. I like to check GPS yardage against on-course markings, and it's always within a yard or two (combination of phone GPS accuracy and whoever physically measured the course), which for a 7-handicap player is accurate enough. Easy to use app that does the job you expect, and more. I'd give it 5 stars if the scorecard entry would be updated back to using a number pad instead of scroll wheel, and if it would center on the current hole instead of always opening at hole #1. I thought the recent update drained my battery (Samsung Galaxy S4) to the point where I wasn't sure if I could finish the round, but found out it wasn't the app; my phone's WiFi was trying to connect to the city-wide WiFi that was in range on the course. After turning off my WiFi (and Bluetooth) before the next round, battery use was normal again. Whenever the guys I'm playing with ask me about the app I'm using, I tell them all about it and recommend they try it for free.
Long term user of this app, love the features that allow me to change the distances as the courses change over the years. Currently using a Garmin S3 but know I will go back to this as it just gives too much information in comparison.
Updated pebble smart watch support.

Added lock screen widget- see distances without unlocking your phone (Android 4.2-up)
Minor bug fixes.
(*** Note: If you have Android 2.2 you may want to avoid updating to this version as it has caused problems for many users with Android 2.2.x)
