The Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) is a literature-derived dietary tool that assesses the inflammatory potential of one’s diet and is based on research from nearly 2,000 research articles. More positive scores indicate a more pro-inflammatory diet that can lead to several health problems – and lots of aches and pains. More negative scores are indicative of a more anti-inflammatory diet (this is what you want to avoid those aches and pains!). The DII –Screener app is a simple, fast, screening tool, which is based on only about 25 questions, and was designed to identify individuals with potentially pro-inflammatory diets.
