The app was developed by the team of the Agricultural Machinery and Precision Agriculture department of the Fundação ABC. The function of the tool is to help the farmer and the consultant to find the most suitable nozzle for the application you wish to make in the field.
Instead of having to look for the right nozzle in the various catalogs available, ABCpontas can list the most suitable models for the service quickly. It is only necessary to provide the application rate, spacing between the nozzles on the sprayer boom and the desired speed. The list is already ordered, that means the top one is the most appropriate. It has three filters that can be used to refine the search, it is possible to choose the nozzle manufacturer, droplet size and nozzle type. If the application does not find an optimal nozzle, it already offers the user suggestions for changes, such as application rate or speed, for example, to find an option.
By choosing a nozzle and clicking on it, the application brings information like manufacturer, model and color. Below is a graph showing the speed range required to maintain drop size and working pressure.
In addition, it has the Speedometer, which allows the user to monitor the droplet size while spraying. Just enter the application rate (L/ha), the nozzle spacing and the chosen nozzle. Then just follow the screen if the drop sizes are ideal, as recommended by the consultant. But for this function you need a device with GPS antenna.
And you know what else? You do not need to be connected. Works offline! And it's a multi-brand app, that is, it has more than a thousand options registered. The new models that are being released in the market will be added through the updates.
The Fundação ABC is a private agricultural research institution, with more than 30 years of existence and recognition throughout the world, for the research and development of new technologies.
