Challenging and powerful This app is fascinating. It is difficult to learn to use- the demands are great. But the rewards make it worth it. It is extremely powerful and comprehensive. It requires one to think logically. It reminds me of working with Maxima on my Ubuntu operating system. I have since moved on to a Chromebook and a Nexus 7. On the Chromebook, I use GeoGebra.. On the Nexus 7, I like Math Studio which is great, but a bit pricey. MathScript may be an affordable alternative. Most importantly, however, it is fun to learn how to use it. It takes you closer to the operation of the machine, and makes you program your solutions with care. Good luck to the developers on advancing this exciting app.

Complicated, not User friendly I thought this was the answer, the screen shot shows the problem I was working on. –b+sqrtb^2-4ac/2a. Thought it would be simple. On Mathlab Cal I would input x^2+5x+6=0 and I would get a quick -2,-3. With this app I can’t even figure out how to write x^2 it doesn’t have a power symbol or button. It probably does but I can’t figure it out. Seems like a really cool app but I’m trying to find an app that can solve x^2+2x-4=0 giving me -1(+or -)sqrt 5 and not some decimal number. I thought this was it, but I can’t figure out how to get to that point.

A great app with one key flaw I love the shear powerof this affordable app. The only problem I have with it is the answer display system . The JsMath system only displays the answer for a short time before it disappears. With the results window not working, it is hard to read the solutions. I have to set it to display the solutions as plain text, which for more complicated solutions makes for some difficult reading. Change that and I would mark this as a five star app. Even as is it is a better value than all others I have tried!

Scam I already bought this f*cking app, and now its telling me i dont have a valid license, i sent an email weeks ago and still no reply

Adrian Blockley

This a great app but with a steep learning curve. Doesn't seem to play nicely with Asus transformer built in keyboard.

User reviews

Awesome.....''amazingly powerful''!!! Its a very comprehensive and compact software. Looking forward for more add on updates. Seems like 'think tank' is trying to keep up their promises...

Not working It always giving a strange result: /Require{AMSmath}...

The error in display has been resolved in the previous update. Please let us know if you still face the problem. If the problem has been resolved, we kindly request you to update your rating and review of MathScript. Works fine very powerful. Loads well on my Android and is very powerful. Earlier problems are fixed. Well worth the time spent to learn its user interface.

Hi. Thanks for the updated review. However, you might have forgotten to update the rating, which is currently 2/5. We humbly request you to reconsider your rating. In case you are not satisfied with the product, kindly let us know the problems you are facing. Thank you for your support. Good software to compute formula I have been looking for maths software that would allow me to compute electronics calculations or formula this software does just that below is sample program that I tested this software with Print '555 timer Astable' R = 100000 C = 100.0/1000000 t = 1.1 * R*C Print R,' Ohms' Print C,' uFarads' print 'time = ', t,' Sec' print 'time = ',t/60,' Min' print 'time =',t/(60*60),' Hours' Now press apply from software menu pad to compute time

The Think Tanks March 17, 2013

Hi. Please let us know if the problem still persist in MathScript Calculator. If it has been resolved, we kindly request you to update the rating. Thank you for your support. Not working Display issue fixed at last update much better. Great tool

Great, but I want more! I would gladly pay $5+ for having this work on a tablet more efficiently than it currently does. I have created a few functions on this program already but it has been somewhat difficult. The small screen space for typing in formulas and what not is limited to six lines at the most. With an 8inch tablet there is plenty of screen space that is not being utilized, and would love more personalization.

Revised review I am impressed with the responsiveness with which Think Tank has fixed with version 3 a ridiculous problem that kept an otherwise impressive math app from opening. I am giving them 4 stars and 5 in the future if the opening.problem is permanently fixed.

\Require{AMSmath} \ rightarrow 4 message show every time \Require{AMSmath} \ rightarrow 4 you are too much bad with your app. my mobile samsung galaxy s2 v 4.0.3 you are thief

Hi,
The error in display has been resolved in the previous update. Please let us know if you still face the problem. If the problem has been resolved, we kindly request you to update your rating and review of MathScript.
- The Think Tanks Force Close Issue Fixed - Revised Review Originally the app force closed when launched, however, the developers appear to have resolved that bug. So far the app is working as advertised and is a very impressive CAS for a phone. Great job!

Horrible Calculator Doesn't display results clearly. Solver doesn't work, just shows an error. Why can't pocketcas come to android?

If the problem has been resolved, we kindly request you to update your rating.
- The Think Tanks Great tool with a bit of practice A lot of functionality for the price. A cleaner UI might help on smaller devices, but really good for tablets

On TF300T-B1 quad arm tegra 3 10" tablet from ASUS I got this tablet and I have paid for the full version of Mathscript, which was almost there, last time I used it. It needed work with multidimensional plotting. Maybe should have some more tools for programming our own scientific visualization plotting functions. Anyhow, on my new tablet, where I hope to use it more (a phone screen is just a tad too small) I have not been able to run it. I'm running android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich). The app starts up and tells me it's loading and then conks out. I'm going to try and update it again and see if that fixes it. What I love about this app are: 1. It uses Sympy at it's lowest level (very cool to use python, a standard). 2. The function calls are mapped to keys on the screen, which makes programming a full scripting language like programming a programmable calculator. This is a GREAT feature. I was able to program a simple test app without remembering any of my python or anything....just intuitively used the buttons and voila....great stuff. 3. Has some plotting that is very nice. Last time I looked it didn't have proper 3D plotting, but did have a visualization function that would work for 3D data. Enjoy -D

Not happy This is ridiculous!! I want my money back! I opened the app once and it worked until I had to reopen it which at that point it failed and failed again. Very upset and disappointed!! Never again with my money "Think Tank." I'm very serious about wanting my money back as well. Galaxy Nexus.

The new updated version should work on all devices. Please let us know if you still have the problem. If the problem has been resolved, we kindly request you to update your rating.
Sincerely,
The Think Tanks Awesome worked for a day. Now, all it does is crash when I try to open it.

The Think Tanks March 17, 2013

Hi. Please let us know if the problem still persist. If it has been resolved, we kindly request you to update the rating. Thank you for your support. Same here Asus Transformer Gave it 3 satrs it did work now it doesn't.

Samsung epic 4g Doesnt work on my samsung galaxy sII epic 4g touch from sprint... Refunding until i know it works because this program looks awesome

Excellent App for mathmatics This app is a wrapper around the sympy library, and it exposes a large volume of very useful functionality with a decent interface. I find it very handy for quick algebra and analysis, and the ODE solver is good (no initial value or boundary conditions yet, though). It needs some UI tweaks and better documentation, hence the 4/5, but overall I am very happy with the paid version.

unfortunately the app force closes upon init 9 out of 10 times and it needs some form of re-activation every now and then, very cumbersome. - sparse feedback from dev - force closes *very* often - pretty-print does not work - no updates!

The Think Tanks March 17, 2013

Hi. Please let us know if the problem still persist. If it has been resolved, we kindly request you to update the rating. Thank you for your support. Initialization Fails It doesn't initialize in Galaxy S2. It begins to initialize base engine and force closes. I sent an e-mail to the developers. They didn't reply. But the few times it worked have shown a very interesting application.

The Think Tanks March 17, 2013

Hi. Please let us know if the problem still persist. If it has been resolved, we kindly request you to update the rating. Thank you for your support. This app is equivalent to Mathematica for your android. Also, brilliant for those who want an intro to Python and have an interest in physics/maths.

## Free Graphing Calculator

Free Graphing Calculator

Does far more than most of the paid calculators out there . . . let alone the free ones.

Features:

1) Scientific Calculator. Simple to grasp and easy to use, but powerful features are available when you need them. Available functions include the following:

• the usual arithmetic functions and exponentiation.

• square root, cube root, nth root, natural log, log base 10, log of arbitrary base, absolute value, factorial, permutations (nPr), combinations (nCr), modulus, random integer, bell curve, cumulative normal distribution, decimal to fraction.

2) Graphing. Capabilities:

• Graph up to four equations at once.

• Graphs are labeled.

• You can drag the graph or pinch to zoom in or out.

• Calculator can find roots and intersections.

• Graph in polar coordinates.

• Graph parametric equations

3) A unit converter. With a tap, you can enter the result of your conversion into the calculator. Currently converts different units of the following: acceleration, angle, area, density, distance, energy, force, mass, power, pressure, speed, temperature, time, and volume. Great for doing physics homework!

4) Constants for scientific calculations -- speed of light, strength of gravity at Earth's surface, etc. etc. etc. Tapping on a constant will insert it into your calculation -- i.e, you don't have to key in the value. Again, great for doing physics homework!

5) It can make a table of the values of any function you care to enter. You can choose the starting x value of the table, as well as how much x increases for each successive row.

6) Forgot the quadratic formula? Or the double-angle formulas for sine and cosine? The math/science reference hits the high points of various subjects. Currently includes algebra, differential and integral calculus, geometry, trigonometry, vectors, vector calculus, and classical mechanics.

I'd love to hear your comments or suggestions. You can write me at the email address in the app. Thanks!

Mathematics is a powerful calculation software for your android smartphone.

FEATURES

Calculate any formula you want and show them in a 2d or 3d plot. The natural display shows fractions, roots and exponents as you would expect it from mathematics.

In a few seconds you derivate or integrate your desired function, calculate the zero points of your function und show them in the function plot. See all maxima, minima or inflection points in one view.

The easy way of use allows you to solve linear equations in just a moment. Or transform your mathematical, physical or chemical equation to any unknown variable.

You often needs to calculate with binary, octal or hexadecimal number systems? No problem! You can mix them together in one calculation even by using decimal digits. But that's not enough! You can also calculate with any other number system with base 2 to 18.

From time to time you may need to convert units to another one, like Celsius to Fahrenheit, miles to kilometre, inches to foot and so on.

You will also be able to calculate with vectors, matrices and determinants.

All this features are combined in this app and will make your mathematical life a lot easier.

This is a re-work of our famous MathScript calculator. The current pre-release alpha version is intended to test the framework and receive user feedback (please scroll to FAQ at the end to see guidelines for feedback).

Nexus 7 users: We do not yet know what is causing the poor app response. Kindly bear with us till we get hold of a Nexus 7 device.

If you find any issues, kindly mail us. Please do not give bad rating. The entire suite of (full version) software will be free and it would be counter productive if the bad rating prevents users from testing it and providing feedback.

Initial loading is slow only for first time. Subsequent loading should take less than 5 seconds (2 sec. in HTC OneX/GalaxyNote)

Features:

* Complete scientific suite of calculations similar to mathematica and matlab using SymPy and NumPy libraries

* Graphical representation of equations with our smart typesetting mechanism

* Full graphical shell using Kivy framework

* Publication quality plots through the awesome plotting library "matplotlib"

Note: We haven't yet completed the feature list. More features will be added with each update.

The help system is not implemented fully. So, for now you are on your own to find out certain stuff. But, the system is supposed to be intuitive. Let us know if some things are not evident immediately :)

Thanks for your support.

FAQ:

* I found a problem not listed here

Please mail us ASAP! We are waiting for your feedbacks and suggestions and work on the improvements based on those.

* How can I contribute?

Currently, we are expecting feedbacks from users to let us know about the feel of the system. You can contribute by just using the app and letting us know if it works well on your system.

* The app is crashing when I open it.

Please check if you have around 80 MB free space before installing the app. Some times, the problem could be due to insufficient space in your memory. We will be grateful if you can get a log output and share it with us.

* The app crashed! How to let you know about it?

System logs can be very valuable in providing crash reports. You can access the log and mail it to us using the free third party app: "aLogCat".

* Why is it slow?

The app is targeted at next generation devices. The slight lag in graphics and delay in computations are visible only in previous generation devices and is almost instant with devices such as HTC One X, Galaxy S3, Note etc..

Also, loading a big program would consume some time. So, please save and close the programs when not needed. Please try to avoid creating very large programs.

* How to share files to others?

The files are located at the folder "MathSysData" in your external storage. You can share using any file browser.

* Help button is not working

For getting help, focus on a function (you will see a frame surrounding it when focussed) and click help. For some functions, the help system might not be available. We will be adding supporting documents gradually.

* Can I develop custom functions?

Yes. You can do complete Python programming. However, much more need to be done to make it user friendly. In future, you will be able to develop your own functions, their graphical representations and even your own keypad set.

* Will this be available in other platforms?

The first release is for Android. Once the product matures, we will release versions for iOS, Mac, Linux and Windows.
