Great game Have enjoyed playing this game. A few little bugs, such as the screen jumping when on more than 100k points and it can't put the decimal point value in next to the controls, but otherwise quite stable. The ability to adjust time trial mode speed would be nice. It's too fast on this phone. Ghost swipes were a small prob initially but worked out how to avoid them. Perhaps app needs to be more hardware aware, to allow for different device capabilities.
Great, but needs improvement. I use this version among the many present in Play Store because this is the one made by the original creator of 2048. That said, this game isn't perfect and I am expecting a lot of improvements in future iterations. Some of them include better responsiveness, an option to remove ads or a paid version without ads, an amateur mode with an option to undo the last move and an option to use a dark colour scheme.
Great game, not so great app. I love this game. Thank you for creating it. I'm in college and I'm gonna rewrite this game in C++ as a part of my course's final project. And don't worry, I'm gonna give credit where its due. The web app as well as other play store apps are great and flawless. But this app doesn't perform well enough compared to others. It somewhat lags while other apps work just fine. I read your blog and understand that you're not experienced in Android. It's fine. This app is still very good and playable. I mean I just scored 5k+ in my first turn. It just needs to improve over time. Peace!
Great game, app performance not so much I LOVE 2048, as a CS major and a math minor this game has got my number. The app performance in the time trial mode is lacking though. Several times the board has filled up while not reacting to multiple swipes. Better performance makes this a 5 star app! UPDATE: Recent update to app has improved performance in the time trial mode enough to get 4 stars. Still not quite as responsive as it needs to be to get 5 stars.
Add Night Mode! I love the game, but like others have said, it drains the battery on my Galaxy S3 REALLY quickly. It also sometimes swipes in directions that I didn't swipe and then all of my strategy gets ruined. I would suggest adding a "night mode" setting with a dark background so that it doesn't use as much screen brightness.
Not responsive to swipes This version of the game is terribly unresponsive to my finger swipes...I sometimes have to swipe 4-5 times per move to get any reaction. I could never play the timed version for this reason, but even the untimed version is so frustrating that I resort to playing one of the "copycat" versions which I also installed. No other apps have this issue on my Droid Mini.
Thanks to your feedback, this version includes improvements to the performance of the application. Tile movement should now be faster and more responsive.
More improvements will be coming soon!
