Galaxy S5 with Vivofit2. Worked great for a year and a half, then boom. 4 months ago it stopped syncing with this app. Garmin says it is a Verizon issue. Verizon says it is a Garmin issue. All I know is I am the customer caught in the middle with a perfectly good watch (it syncs with my PC just fine) and a perfectly good phone, except that they won't work together. Even after multiple app updates they still can't seem to resolve the issue. So disappointed.
The Garmin Connect app is OK. It gives you the basics, steps, sleep, heart rate, exercise, etc. The sleep track analysis is poor though and so is the heart rate. The information on the Fitbit app is much better, the whole app is much better. I prefer Garmin devices but need the information and functionality of the fitbit app! Garmin need to do a complete overhaul of their app, even the beta version is lacking when compared with Fitbit. You have the money and resources Garmin, make something happen on the app and you'll win the market!
Good information, not sure how accurate the measurements are but consistent. Why oh why does it keep requesting permission you have already turned OFF!!! Driving me nuts. No way I will part with my Suunto. Finally going to un install this app. It cannot or will not maintain BT connection. ALL my other BT devices are fine.🙁
Can not syn with Garmin 520. Either says sinc complete but activities dont upload or just says sync failed. Tried on 3 different devices after updating 520 software to the most up-to-date version. Useless annoying frustrating waste of time!
This Vivosport, and the Connect app together have been particularly good for me. Although I've only been making an attempt to get in shape, recently, I can tell that this combination is going to help, tremendously. So far, I've used it to track my step count, calories burned, and tracking of my jogging routes, and it has all performed flawlessly.
I've actually enjoyed using this app for awhile and the course creator is very nice to finally have on the phone(before it was computer only unless you had a specific watch) dissapointingly, you can't actually build your own course, instead you tell it how far and in which direction and it figures the rest out. Better than nothing but a far cry from what I'd been hoping for. For the record, I have a Fenix 3 paired to an S8.
