I have a new phone MOTO G5 running Android 7. The app will not let me create an account nor sign in. I finally fixed it. You need to DISABLE CHROME, then ENABLE ANDROID WEBVIEW in Settings/Apps. Once you have done this, you can login. Then go back and enable Chrome.
It works OK for me but could be more user friendly: For editing activity info, automatically move frequently used fields to the top; let me specify default values for selected fields; let me create custom names for activity type. On the last point, for example, why can I choose "wingsuit flying" or "snowshoeing" but not "volleyball" or "yoga"?
Asks for location to sync, although it doesn't have geolocation features. After 2 months of arguing, them pretending not to understand my complaint or blaming Google requirements, they told me "This is how it works. You can use the PC to sync data".
This is the only activity tracker I have used, so I have no comparison. My only frustration is setting it up on a Chrome book. There is no app compatible with it. The web version is only compatible with Windows and Mac.
Nonintuitive user interface and sometimes problems visualizing tracks which were recorded by FR230. Further it needs location (GPS) turned on when pairing with my bluetooth device and a few minor Android design bugs appeared during the usage. Please remove all uneccessary permissions and fix all the bugs (design, usage and visualization). It would also be nice to implement an offline mode, since I only want to record my data for me locally and do not want to share with anyone else (I have paid the device and do not want to pay with my personal data)!
The last software doesn't let me save my actual stride length! I can modify it, but as soon as I go back to main menu, the stride lenght is again default!.😥
