The Garmin Connect™ app is your one-stop source for health and fitness data. Whether you’re training for a race, keeping active or just staying on top of your health, Garmin Connect provides the information and inspiration you need to reach your goals.

Once you pair your phone (1) with a Forerunner®, Venu®, fēnix or another compatible Garmin device (2), you can review your tracked activities and health metrics. Plus, you can create workouts, build courses and challenge your friends on the leaderboard.

With Garmin Connect you can:

Notes: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Garmin Connect needs SMS permission to allow you to receive and send SMS text messages from your Garmin devices. We also need call log permission to display incoming calls on your devices.

Ratings and reviews

App is really unintuitive and difficult to find what you want, and also doesn't seem to sync with my watch unless there's an Internet connection, which is an unnecessary and annoying limitation (e.g. If you're staying somewhere remote on a trip). Also the icon indicates I have 3 notifications but when you open the app I don't - annoying.

I'm not sure you are improving the website or app over the years. For example, At a Glance, you can only have a few data fields, for me, most don't work because I don't own a watch. All the information is under Reports. There is so much data and information I don't have access to easily. I use Garmin Edge 1030 & Oregon 700, which are not cheap bits of kits. Just got your Smart Scales.

I've had this app since 2020. Recent updates have created problems. I find the badge rewards a good way of keeping motivated. However, the app often fails to show steps or activities logged on the watch. Recently, I have run distances that qualify for badges, sometimes 3 times over a weekend. When they aren't awarded, it becomes frustrating. After contacting Garmin, it's clear they are only interested in sales, not after care. They risk customers going elsewhere.
