About this app

Unglue helps you reduce distracting screen time by making you earn access to your apps through healthy real-world actions.

How to use Unglue:

1) Block distracting apps

Choose the apps you want to limit, such as social media, games, or other apps that pull you in.

2) Set your goals

Create simple goals that help you build better habits, such as completing tasks, staying focused, or reaching step goals.

3) Earn screen time by completing healthy habits

Complete your goals to unlock selected apps and use your screen time more intentionally.

Unglue is for you if you want to reduce bad habits, spend less time on distracting apps, or earn screen time by completing things you already want to do.

How Unglue uses Android’s AccessibilityService API

Unglue uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to support its core app blocking features. When enabled by the user, this permission lets Unglue detect when selected distracting apps are opened, so Unglue can show its blocking, shield, or unlock experience.

Unglue does not use AccessibilityService to read private messages, read what you type, collect passwords, control other apps, change device settings without permission, or prevent you from disabling or uninstalling the app.

You can turn Accessibility access off for Unglue at any time in Android Settings.

How Unglue uses Health Connect step data

Unglue can use Health Connect to read your step count when you choose a step-based goal. This lets Unglue verify your progress toward real-world movement goals, such as walking a certain number of steps before unlocking selected apps.

Unglue only uses step data for the goals you choose. Unglue does not request access to unrelated health data, and you can disconnect Health Connect at any time in Android Settings.

Privacy

To protect user privacy, specific app activity data is never stored or shared.

Subscription required for full access to the app’s features.
