I have a Nexus 5X and I was not able to connect to the car. I had to call to cancel my reservation and email them for a refund. Be aware as they have issues with some phones models. This is what they told me in their email "we recommend that our customers using Nexus 5X refrain from using the service at this time" If the app is not working properly, you can't use the service. What a disappointment!
Worst update ever. It tells you you can rent now, and your reservation has started now. When you get to the car it won't let you in for an hour. Then the app won't connect to the car. Spent over an hour trying to get the issue fixed with useless customer service reps. They tried 2 different cars and nothing worked. Back to Zipcar for us
No explanation as to why it needs access to my contacts. Crashes if it doesn't have that access. Terrible - make it optional, or provide a reasonable explanation. I'll change the review if this is fixed in a sensible way.
App forces users to allow it to see contacts, photos, place calls- or else it won't run. I'm not satisfied with those privacy implications. Fix your app to make it more flexible with those of us who aren't willing to arbitrarily sacrifice privacy just to run an app.
The app asks for phone id, contacts, file storage, and location on first boot. That's too much to trust, and you don't explain why. Cars only in small corner of SF.
Requires location access at all times.
