Aladdin Connect allows you to monitor and control you garage door from anywhere. The Aladdin Connect app works with any Genie Wi-Fi-enabled garage door opener or retrofit kit and can be set up in minutes. The app controls up to 20 garage door openers or retrofit kits and allows you to do the following:

· Open or close the door from your smartphone

· Check whether the door is open or closed from anywhere, using your smartphone

· Get notified if your door is opened or closed and customize notifications

· Add up to 20 family or guest users and get notified when they operate the door

I like the idea to use my phone for convenience. however the time it takes to actually open the door is slow. about 15 sec. that could be our wifi connect too, not sure. vs the remotes take 3 sec. with that being said, if your wifi ever goes down and you DON'T have a remote. you maybe SOL if your code pad isn't set up. so that is a bit of a flaw. if we could program our phone like the remotes so it recognizes the phone itself, wifi wouldn't be a issue.

incredible addition to any garage door. think you firepit to close the door? no worries quick tap of the app and it's done, from anywhere! Great upgrade especially those that are a bit older. easy set-up, easy to use, added level of security. get notified when the door opens and closes. only caveat may have to reset once in a great while, takes a few minutes but it's standard with router wifi connectivity now a days!

Horrible app and service. It took many tries to get this to work and weeks but finally did. In looking online this is common! It worked great for 6 months but hasn't worked at all for 3 weeks. The app says service unavailable. The opener is connected to my wifi but the app is the issue. I call and no one seems to be aware of an issue but I'm not the only one. After waiting 2 hours for a callback I talk to someone that transfers me to another 30 minute hold. Don't buy a wifi genie opener!
