Doesn't remember changes Any text changes you've made will be lost if you haven't saved your text file (pay version). So, for example, if you go through, and make a few last minute edits like spacing out certain lines, and you want to look up a name or whatever for the script, all your edits will be lost. Very annoying. It almost seems like an added function; like it would be easier for the program to do nothing instead of resetting it's last save point. WORST annoyance: If you highlight and delete the text that is there-- in order to paste a previously copied script-- it will only let you paste what you've just deleted. Seriously?
This app is the best teleprompter I have found. Its ability to be controlled by another android device is very important. Be prepared to work on this software before recording with it. It has many features and you have to pair your bluetooth devices and get comfortable with their configuration. You have to put some work into it but it is worth it. One thing you should know is that if you control the prompter with a cell phone as I do, the difference in size of the screens makes it difficult to control the larger screen while looking at the smaller screen. I have to get into a spot where I can read from the front alongside the talent. The developer is working on a solution but I think it's a very difficult problem given the huge ammount of different size screens that exist in the android jungle.... :-) A workaround which took me a while to find is to check the box which removes the text from the master device and just leaves the buttons to speed up or down, etc.
I generally like this app; it's straightforward and easy to use. My only problem: because it scrolls rather quickly, I tend to pause it frequently, and when I do so in 'full screen' mode it 'pops out' of that mode, the screen jumps, and all the menus, buttons and sliders return during that time. VERY distracting. (used on an S6)
Can't set width of margins I have a note 4 which is bigger than the screen of my teleprompter and I need to be able to set the margins manually in order to read it properly.
I've just installed this app on my tablet and mobile phone, and plan to buy the bluetooth upgrade in the next few days. I love what it can do. I'd like to make a couple of suggestions for improvements; The "open Google drive" link doesn't actually open Google Drive. It goes directly to the app's local storage folder. The icon for the app looks fine on the desktop, but is badly pixelated around the edges when there is a transparency behind it in the app drawer. When the screen is narrow (smartphone inst
Perfect for me Being a musician of a certain age, remembering lyrics and chords at the same time is becoming more difficult. So I needed something to load my songs into and scroll thru automatically rather than mess around with bits of paper. One neg point is that you can't set a separate scroll speed for each doc. In a gigging situation you can't be poncing about changing speeds. This is overcome by selecting an average speed for all, and spacing or bunching up the text accordingly. Black background, white text, go!
Bug fix version.
Added Spanish language, and better Italian translation (eternal thanks to "nosapp" and "Eddiop"!
New checkbox to remove scroll display on master (VERY recommended when screen sizes are different).
Long awaited: Scroll display sync even with different screen sizes!
Video record (MP4 format) added + playlist bugfixes.
Sound record (3GPP and AAC format) added.
Playlist management: you can stop at the bottom of a text, a tap on the screen will load the next text and start.
