Used to be fine. Recently it's gotten ridiculously unusable. None of the last 3 cars I reserved were at their home location, even though the app will show them there when you reserve. You'll have to show up at the pickup spot before you find out the car's not there. You can't even call in to check beforehand. Getaround doesn't do anything about this issue until you call and complain. Terrible experience, plus their customer support is frustrating as well

Super annoyed. They seem to pick and choose when to charge a ridiculous deposit. If I wanted to pay a deposit I would just go with a traditional rental company. I'm a long-time user of 4+yrs and very SUDDENLY they are charging deposits, and even using a credit card is not waiving it. Getaround needs to be more consistent. Used to be great back when I first began using it, now it's iffy. Might be time to start looking into a new service. This also drives utilization down for hosts.

Getaround needs to stay on top of their hosts. While Getaround's app and prices are fine, over the past year I've used the service, I feel I have spent more time with customer support than I have in a vehicle. Vehicles are frequently dirty, dead on battery, or even crashed and still available for rental. My most recent experience was that of getting a very badly crashed vehicle without my knowledge and having to return to the lot to only be told every other vehicle on the lot was dead.
