**UPDATED REVIEW AT THE BOTTOM** Good and bad points. The charging connectors are complete rubbish. Very weak magnetic holding and things never line up very well. Wish there was an indicator symbol or something on the front and back that would help finding the power buttons faster. Wish there was an optional "search party" mode that would allow multiple people to search for a lost pet at once, with location and status reports shared live between the searchers. That would turn your existing customers into your field sales force. Since the more units active in a neighborhood, the faster a lost pet will be detected and recovered. Users would opt in/out of search party mode during initial setup and could change their status at any time afterwards. A pet would be declared "lost" by its owner before other opted-in users would be notified and search party functions activated. Other than my gripes and feature request above, the Findster concept works acceptably-well for me. I have not yet had to put it to a real test, thank goodness. **REVIEW UPDATE** Findster sent me a new charger adapter and it works significantly-better than the original. I have upgraded my review from 3 stars to 4!

The app is pretty basic in it's functions but you don't need complicated functions to find your dog. The app has a 10 second refresh so there is some lag. So expect to find your pet in a certain area and wait a few seconds to increase accuracy. There is also a lag when you start the app and it communicates with the receiver and the pet tag. Once it's up and running it has great range even in thick woods. I even lost the tag and used the receiver to find it in the trunk of my car.

Hi Jody, Thank you for your review. 🙂 The refresh time is of 5/10 seconds in order to save battery; if the tracking was continuous, it'd drain the battery of the module faster. Anyway, we appreciate your comments and will do our best to improve our product! Best regards, Jane

I purchased this system for keeping track of my two cats when I let them out. It works very well. I can sit outside or in my home office and watch their progress on my phone as they move around an area of probably 1000 - 1500 ft. radius (haven't had opportunity to test it further, as if they go too far I fetch them and put them back on course). The area they roam is a condo complex so sometimes there are one, two, or three buildings between the Guardian module (mine) and the pet module. I have had no major issues with disconnects. On the RARE occasion that it has disconnected (only long range and obstruction) it reconnects quickly. For me, the Findster is a perfect system.
