Lots of updates, lots of downtime. Everytime a firmware is pushed out the system needs to be rebooted. Firmware updates appear to go out just whenever instead of after hours. App is used to push ads for their new products. Previous installation of three routers on wds network ran much faster than this setup but dont have the all in one app. The time limits work fine.
Does not refresh. I am always unsure if the currently displayed status is really the latest. Devices that are always connected show last known connection of hours ago. Speed tests are all over the place and nowhere near my ISP package. I want to like it but it seems to be unreliable. My device connection datarate and signal quality flucuate greatly when I am in the same room as a Luma. Support is spotty, with the two cases I opened there is no confirmation of closure. I have a few more days before my return window is up and hesitant to keep this. Its promising but seems too buggy for daily use. I miss data usage logs from my previous router.
After having a severe drop download speeds seemingly after latest update, I called my provider to come out and do a direct test. Speed tested exactly as it should. Around 250 mbps but the app was showing anywhere from 9 mbps to 90, fluctuating daily for the past week. Never had any issues until last update. Uninstalled the app and did a complete setup again with no luck in fixing the issue. Setup is not an easy thing to do but I was otherwise happy with it until now
The setup is quick for each luma node. Make sure phone is not connected to any WiFi while using the App is running and Bluetooth is ON, is the trick. The speed is super fast between the 3 luma nodes.
Seems to be getting worse. Now blocking legitimate MS SafeLinks in email so can't use email with Luma on your network. Devices not updating, showing online when they are not. Support ignoring these issues but not responding to tickets. Tried luma guardian service and the monthly reports never worked.
Best home Wi-Fi system out there. I have never had a problem with my internet connection.
