Awesome app, best account integration I've seen to date. Makes managing the budget on a day today basis super quick. I've a dilemma on how I go about importing 10+ years of data sitting in Banktivity without having to go back and recategorise/align everything, could do with some pointers?
Warning if you use the safe spend: The "safe" spend pocketbook calculates for you EXCLUDES bills quarterly or longer. As a result of this gap, the missed bills will eat into what it says you should have "saved". If you are targeting to save a certain amount each period, you need to increase the amount "saved" = you saving target + missed bills. I have raised this twice with the support team, and have been brushed off twice getting told it will "skew actual spending", even though I pointed out bills are excluded from the safe spend and not including it skews what you thought you saved! I will keep raising it so no one is caught out with a "safe" spend that isn't safe enough to consider all bills.
Ffs... Could you please change it so that when I'm sorting the categories it is by default "only affects the one transaction".. It is a real pain when I finally sort all my Woolworths transactions out how I want them, then a month later I forget to click the apply to this transaction only and have to go back 3 months and resort everything!!! I've literally punched a wall because of this!! Other than that it is amazing...
Updated 17/5: Initially failed at the first hurdle as it didn't ask for enough detail to synch with my bank (token authentication was not requested) which subsequently locked my internet banking. Since rectified by calling my bank, resetting my login and disabling token authentication (for login only). Would be great if there were a way around this. App seems to be working OK, will give it a few weeks to determine whether it's worth the risk of keeping token authentication turned off.
The bank sync and overall presentation of this app are awesome. I'm looking for the ability to see 1 month in advance projected balances per account so I don't go into arrears. I'd also like to see the rolling balance when viewing a transaction summary. The account balance shown at the top of each account is incorrectly showing the balance of all accounts.
Great idea, but: using a PIN makes it ask far too often (e.g. navigation from one screen to another when within the app). Category management is also not great. TBH, pretty uncomfortable about the idea of handing over bank login details too, particularly when I'm almost certain that Pocketbook wouldn't have the insurance to deal with losses due to password database theft. Update: apparently there is export in the web interface.
