Only app I found to work well with Australian banks. Analytics have been greatly improved. I like the ability to save pictures of bills with each transaction record. Would be nice if it allowed me to save a picture first then attach that to the record when it gets pulled in to the app later. When categorising if you forget to tick the box to apply only to the current transaction it changes the category for everything in the past as well. I wish it would leave the past alone and set it for future transaction
Hey guys. A couple of things that would improve this app in my opinion. Need to be able to delete bills once they are no longer relevant but keep history. E.g changing energy provider. Still want to track what I spent on electricity but delete old company. Also, more splits in categories that hold once you manually change them. E.g your app automatically categorizes but if I want to change one transaction it changes all for that direct debit. One transfer I might want to categorise as income and another as a general transfer. If you change it manually it should give you an option for change one or change all. Is there anyway you could export data to say a spreadsheet? Otherwise it's pretty good.
I thought this app was great until the October update. Gave it only 2 stars then as the "updates" were not well received. Since then, some functionality has improved so I can now give it 3 stars. To get 5, safely spend needs to be reverted back to previous and android compatibility needs to improve. App works best on my ipad, not android phone.
It's ok. So far it only tracks back about 1 month which seems very limiting and some categories refuse to change manually. It seems to do a good job at tracking transactions automatically and categorising them. Other than that the functionality and data provided seems quite limited and is only a small step up in comparison to simply looking at a bank statement.
Hello Pocketbook, I can add bills, but can't delete them. A delete/archive button simply isn't there. App keeps telling me I've missed bills because I can't get rid of it! Also, having a bill record in the safely spend amount isn't very helpful. We have 2-monthly utility bills in Australia; that automatically shoots your safely spend budget for that month out of the water. I note this is a recurring theme from other users. I won't be using Pocketbook anymore for now, unfortunately.
The new update has killed this app. Bills counting towards safety spend beats the whole point. Identification of bills, classification and separate calculation of those and creating a Safety spend based on that was the most important feature. By taking it off, the app has become completely useless. I can't think of one good reason why they would want to remove the feature.
We've updated our categorisation engine so it is now much more accurate and fine-grained! We'll be releasing an all new app in the next couple of months which takes this even further. We've also made an update to Safely Spend after extensive user-testing and feedback to include bills - review you limit so it's accurate.
