Nice and simple. It is so pleasing to find an app which avoids the bloatware found in certain other file managers and focusses on functionality. My only (minor) criticism is to do with ergonomics: the side scroll action won't trigger unless you swipe your finger over quite a large distance. It would be nice to just "flick" between panes.
Root working now, but... On main page (SD CARD, SD CARD2, File system root) when I try to use Search from menu, Root: Function not supported! Would like to have Global search function like in windows: search my whole phone with one click :)
Faster than es. Explorer Es explorer has become too slow. TC is much faster and I love the pattern file selection functionality !
The best file manager. But: -still fails to execute user commands in the virtual home folder, even native ones like su, -fails to respond to a click on some files, and doesn't refresh after deleting them. For example /data/data/com.facebook.orca/cache/image/v2.ols100.1/90/somehash.cnt -2.71 could stop using su, saying it hangs. 2.72 also?
TC review I have been using Total Commander since the dos days. That was about 1984 or 1985. It was the best then and it certainly doesn't disappoint now. These guys are geniuses to be able to fit so much in such a small Mobile format. Is a little confusing and complex at first? You bet your bippy it is! Learn it and you can do almost anything with a Android file. This is the the last program of this nature I will ever use. There's nothing better! My opinion still holds for the Update.
Awesome! So glad to see TotalCommander on Android! And free without ads! Amazing! There are some issues, though... Nothing major, but just a number of little things like needing to swipe perfectly vertical to scroll, otherwise it's recognized as a swipe to the left/right window (even if that feature is turned off) and stuff like that so one star down for lots of minor stuff like that, but I really really want to give 5 stars!
