Raindar! I wanted to thank you for developing such a fantastic app, Raindar is awesome! If possible in the next release; a button to pause the animation a the most recent frame and also a menu item to refresh the map would be greatly appreciated. It's difficult to view the characteristics of a current storm when the radar is moving and sometimes the image becomes outdated frequently and must be restarted to load the new one. Feel free to consider a donate app as well, I'd gladly toss a few bucks your way.
Best Simple Radar App Reliable precision radar I count on during severe weather and activity planning. Just radar without extra clutter. Very small file download. Always smooth animation without image skips, showing direction and speed. The map can be dragged around to change location, also zoomed in/out. Looks like AccuWeather map. For tracking, I wish I could have the yellow arrows instead of fans, it be less cluttered.
I did love it, but... ****** Old review... I'm an amateur weather nerd, and this app allows me to track storm cells. You can click on each cell and get even more info. Great free app, keep up the good work. Galaxy nexus ****** update. For a while now it will restart my phone as soon as I tap the icon to load the app. Dunno what that is about but it's not good. Samsung Galaxy Nexus, JB 4.2.1
Excellent for what it is. I am a Meteorologist by profession. This app is the simplest, cleanest, no frills radar app that I have been able to find. No toolbars to clutter the screen, just a plain old radar app. It won't give you high res data or anything like Radarscope or Pykl3 would, but you're also not paying 10 bucks for it ;) It's my go-to when I want a simple, broad look at the radar.
Great "real time" Radar. Other weather apps are usually 5-10 min behind what is actually happening in your location. This is as current a radar as I've found to actual weather event. Also gives you "base reflectivity" & other Doppler radar settings. This is critical info when living in "Tornado Alley." A BIG THANK YOU TO THE DEVELOPER!
Short sweet and to the point This app does one thing and does it well, display doppler radar images for your current location. The lack of bells and whistles is this apps strength. It's the kinda app you trust knowing it's not going to run some background process and eat your battery.
- Limit radar overlay resolution to speed up downloading and fix Galaxy S4 screen issue
- Added timer that will check every 30 seconds if the location has changed, and update the radar appropriately
- Bug fix considering type cast in preferences (which might fix the crash bug)
- Disabled compass
