Review from R n J Schmidt
Use it all the time. Great in Florida. Fantastic when riding our motorcycles and horses. Most always shows our little summer showers. Fast to load and doesn't have a bunch of settings or ads. We have it set for precipitation and that's what we get. If you have issues with it shutting down your phone or doing something else have your phone checked its probably your phone not the app. This is a great app! Thanks! 😊
Fixed! Backed to being easily my number 1 radar app. Incompatible S4. Works great s2 This is by far my favorite radar app. Yesterday I got a new phone, a Samsung S4, will not work with this phone! I think the screen resolution is messing it up. I really need this fixed quickly. And because I Spent so much money on it I feel justified in my demands. It's only a 1 on the S4 all other phones its a 5 easy.
Best Simple Radar App Reliable precision radar I count on during severe weather and activity planning. Just radar without extra clutter. Very small file download. Always smooth animation without image skips, showing direction and speed. The map can be dragged around to change location, also zoomed in/out. Looks like AccuWeather map. For tracking, I wish I could have the yellow arrows instead of fans, it be less cluttered.
Raindar! I wanted to thank you for developing such a fantastic app, Raindar is awesome! If possible in the next release; a button to pause the animation a the most recent frame and also a menu item to refresh the map would be greatly appreciated. It's difficult to view the characteristics of a current storm when the radar is moving and sometimes the image becomes outdated frequently and must be restarted to load the new one. Feel free to consider a donate app as well, I'd gladly toss a few bucks your way.
I did love it, but... ****** Old review... I'm an amateur weather nerd, and this app allows me to track storm cells. You can click on each cell and get even more info. Great free app, keep up the good work. Galaxy nexus ****** update. For a while now it will restart my phone as soon as I tap the icon to load the app. Dunno what that is about but it's not good. Samsung Galaxy Nexus, JB 4.2.1
UPDATE: I hope this is still Accurate, hasn't been updated in years. Did developer abandon this? Good accurate radar, nice UI. Some people complain it's a data hog, it's nothing given today's apps. I have a nexus 7 with 32GB internal memory, maybe you need to upgrade your devices and get with the times - dump the crickets.
Even though there are more detailed radar apps, this one is just right for me because it is light and super fast. Two things needed: a refresh button and a widget. Update: It's been 3 years since this was updated, but it's still my go to app for radar. No it doesn't have storm tracks or lightning strikes etc..., but it's clear and fast, exactly what I need.
- Limit radar overlay resolution to speed up downloading and fix Galaxy S4 screen issue
- Added timer that will check every 30 seconds if the location has changed, and update the radar appropriately
- Bug fix considering type cast in preferences (which might fix the crash bug)
- Disabled compass
