Great idea but has bugs I really like the idea of this app, when it works I like it, and find this more user friendly than the wspr website. However it crashes frequently and force closes. If it can be made more stable I would give 5 stars. 3 stars is generous given the constant crashes, but the basics are good.
Needs an update Would love to support the developer, but no replies to feedback!!! This app works great on Android 4.3 but its not working on marshmallow Android 6 with Nexus 9. Keeps crashing when I try to access settings. Also no updates in two years :(
Installed the App twice but it doesn't work properly. When I use any filter, for example my own callsign, it fails to show any spots. Nothing. On a small android screen you can scroll forever to search for a callsign and that makes the App rather useless.
Crashes and other Always crashes when I try to access settings on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 running stock 5.1.1. Info is also several hours late. I thought it was supposed to be live.
Great WSPR App One thing I would like though is a zoom-able map when looking at a single connection.
Both wspr viewer apps crash on my Sony C4. Pity, we need such tools. 73 de ZS6BNE.
Now with great circle and heat map plotting on Google maps!
Tap 'Map' near the top of the screen.
Long-click on the map to set QTH.
In the Maps settings, turn on TX markers.
Zoom in on a marker to click it; pop-up displays the beacon data.
Touch pop-up to display directional antenna heading from your QTH to the beacon.
Note: Google maps with the large number of beacons is resource intensive. Performance on older devices, Gingerbread/Android 2.3 and below, will be slower.
The first and only app allowing WSPR transmission using your Android device!
