Review from Jenny
I hope when the hakuoki Kyoto flowers, and hakuoki edo blossoms for the psp vita comes out it gets put out as an app as well.
I watched the anime and fell in love. I listened to all the drama cd's and read the manga they released. Until I was finally ready to play the game and trust it was worth the money (even though I got a discount) So far I played through half of the routes and all of the character episodes. Something else I like is all the extra features on this app like the character episodes and the special episode they were so much fun. So really BUY THIS APP.
Addicted!!! I found the PS3 game by chance and immediately got addicted. Discovered it had an anime and fell in love with that too. Then this android version came out with an additional scenario and new images so of course I had to purchase this too. Waited for a sale but definitely had to get it. The music is beautiful and the fact that it has voice actors is a huge bonus for a game. It is well written too and thoroughly loved every story route.
Great game I love these romance/historical graphic novel games, but why does the protagonist have to be so meek for EVERYTHING? Battle? I want a "hell yea!" option. No we get "ummm" "squeal" "I guess so, maybe, idk, Jesus take the wheel" automated responses? Have my fingers crossed that she gets more confidence as the game progresses.
Won't load... I want a refund.. I was originally very excited for this game.. but I've re-download several times and it refuses to load. I have the Galaxy s7 edge so I don't understand why it is unplayable.
The PS3 version of this game is probably my all-time favourite game. That said, the Android version is a solid port and is one of the few mobile games out there with the full original voice acting (which is wonderful). The extra add-ons are very nice as well (although I miss Memories of Love from the PS3 Stories of the Shinsengumi). A good variety of characters, a strong historical basis, and wonderful art make this the perfect story for otome lovers who are looking for a whole-world experience. A note of caution: this is a very text-heavy game and the romance is less overt than in many mobile otome games (it's 1864 and it shows). But... must say that Harada Sanosuke has a **great** romantic route!
Good VN, iffy port. Needs to be able to be moved to external storage and saved data needs cloud support. I was most of the way through a route when my device broke and I needed to start from scratch.
Fixed a bug.
A smashing hit Japanese Romance Game is now available in English on Smartphones!
