Works partially On my 2015 Chevy Volt, the OnStar app only works for some things. It has never worked properly since I've had the car. I don't receive any notifications from the app about when charging is complete, either by text or by email even though the module was replaced by the dealer. No reminders that the vehicle was unplugged during charging, nor to remind me to plug in to charge. I can access the app and get info, but nothing from the app to me. It was perfect on my 2013 Volt, but not this one.
GM don't forget about those of us who still have our "discontinued" GM brand vehicles. (Saturn, Pontiac, HUMMER, SAAB, ect) and STILL PAY to use the OnStar service. You should be able to offer us the ability to use the mobile app. When I call to inquire about the app, I am told by the representative that "they are working on making the app compatible with 2007 and up vehicles" however this has been 5 years of waiting. How much longer will we have to pay and still not be able to use the remote link features?
Best feature ever I live where it gets really cold and work in a warehouse over night i bought a 2011 buick lacrosse with every option available at the time and was told about this feature and couldn't be happier.. able to start my car from anywhere i have a decent signal and let's me know it's started also..only wish the car ran longer but 10 mins is not too bad either
Still working out bugs I use this app to command start my truck in the morning, every single day the app asks me to agree to the updated terms and conditions. At least a few times a week the app asks me if I still own my 2015 silverado that I've owned for less then a year. The features work quite well, I use this app every day in the winter. Would change the rating to 5 stars if it didn't have the annoying bugs.
I have a new to me 2005 SAAB 97X which is equipped with On-Star. I have a membership with On-Star and was never told that "my" car it's shown on the app or one of the cars even shown anywhere. It alway says car not compatible.. I can not use navigation, the phone app, etc and I find it worthless for me car. Why would they not tell me this when I signed up for it and why would it be in my car, just encase I was to wreck it maybe can pin point me if it can find "MY" car?.
