Almost Perfect. Why is the native Stay Awake feature not present on the HTC ONE? This app would be just like the native Stay Awake feature (but better) if there was a setting to allow the screen to dim but not turn off. The screen stays on full blast all the time and it causes the phone to charge very slowly. Also, for some reason the screen does turn off while charging during phone calls; it should at most dim the screen. Until this occurs I can give this app only 4 stars.
Doesn't work on Nexus 7 Great app on my Galaxy S2, but doesn't work on my Nexus 7. I set it to stay awake only when charging. It then switches the Nexus sleep settings to minimum and then switches off. Please fix as it would make a big difference to me, not least as the Nexus 7 does not allow the screen to stay awake longer than 30 minutes.
Perfect! Just what i was looking for. I tried 10 other apps prior to this and none of the did what i was after. I was after an app that disables the screen from automatically dimming while connected to AC/USB power. This app does just that. As soon as i disconnect from power source, it reverts back to my screen dim/timeout setting. Great! Thanks!
Great, but uses wrong controls This is a really useful widget. However, it uses the wrong controls, ie it uses checkboxes rather than radiobuttons. By using radiobuttons, it would reduce the clicks required to change modes from three to two. Thus, the following radiobutton options could be used: * Don't stay awake * Stay awake always * Stay awake if plugged Using radiobuttons, only one of these options can be effective at one time. I will increase my rating if the dev responds to this request
Saved the day Bought a galaxy tab 2 from some clueless sales people at PC World........We wanted it to display clock and pics etc, only to find that it times out after a max of 30 mins. This app does the job and even gives the option with and without power conn. Well done. Ian from Manchester.
No workie on my Galaxy Nexus For some reason my "Stay Awake" option in the Developers menu is grayed out so I turned to this. Despite being plugged in, and regardless of what box is checked, the screen goes black just as if this wasn't running. This is on a FRESH factory reset following a new 2.2 push. No third party apps. As clean as it gets, and still no functionality on my Nexus
