The good thing about this device is its portable, no laptop to carry around. The only downfall for this device is the updates...very slow. Still lacks effects like slo-mo, fast forward and even reverse video, this would help compliment the editor... Should of open source the software so the community could help fix what is missing in gnarbox. Waiting for these updates to happen and it feels like a year has passed. Agony and defeat on us consumers who backed this company up from day one. What's so funny about this is they are thinking of a Gnarbox 2 in the works... Having trouble just fixing the first one they have already.
What's up with no access to the files on my phone? I film loads with my phone. Of course if I wanted to use outdated tech "iPhone" I could access my files. This is supposed to be tech that's pushing limits, why not firstly focus on the phones that are pushing limits? Would not have bought this if I known this up front. :(
Getting better but it still doesn't respond sometime to touch. And trimming could be more precise. After a few time, it's getting nauseous having to trim and retrim on the phone.
It's a great idea but the editor in both video and stills isn't great. If they were it would be 5*. I'm holding out for future improvements. For now I use it to back up my files select the ones I want then download them to my iPad and edit with lightroom mobile etc.
If these updates where available from day one right out the box I'm sure this would have been a hit product it has gotten better that's a little bit too late, I'm definitely going to be testing it out but we're still missing sharpening, speed control and a way to write text on screen. I'm really enjoying the grading aspect of video on this, thank you.
I really want to like it but the tooltips are misaligned and off screen, and the features are horribly lacking vs. what Gnar promised in all their email updates. As a Kickstarter backer I am dissatisfied. I don't see this company taking off if they keep forgetting about Android users.
