The gnarbox simply doesn't work on android constantly freezes and when exporting clips to camera roll they dissapear! So frustrating to use its unbelievable for such an exspensive box! It seems the gnarbox was designed for iOS and the android user are an after thought.
No love for Android Unfortunately the Android app lacks many features of it's iOS brother. Including stability when editing videos and the ability to zoom into (RAW) images. Not happy. :/
For the most part the Gnarbox worked flawlessly with organizing and backing up my media. Needs updates for transitions, text and video speed. Depletes battery like a v8 engine burns gasoline.
This is an updated review. The only way I can use the footage from my Pixel is to either pull out a laptop and transfer it or borrow an iPhone (which is technically just a Samsung phone with apples crapware on it) and transfer my video to it then to the gnarbox. For as much as it cost it turns out to be a gnarly paper weight. I'm so disgusted I bout this. :( GET ANDROID TRANSFER SUPPORT!
The good thing about this device is its portable, no laptop to carry around. The only downfall for this device is the updates...very slow. Still lacks effects like slo-mo, fast forward and even reverse video, this would help compliment the editor... Should of open source the software so the community could help fix what is missing in gnarbox. Waiting for these updates to happen and it feels like a year has passed. Agony and defeat on us consumers who backed this company up from day one. What's so funny about this is they are thinking of a Gnarbox 2 in the works... Having trouble just fixing the first one they have already.
If these updates where available from day one right out the box I'm sure this would have been a hit product it has gotten better that's a little bit too late, I'm definitely going to be testing it out but we're still missing sharpening, speed control and a way to write text on screen. I'm really enjoying the grading aspect of video on this, thank you. Would love if we could dump from out Mobil devices wirelessly.
