About this app

This app should only be used by people who are familiar and already use the "Goal Buddy Goal-setting System".

Set and track your life goals alone or with the support of a goal buddy. The Goal Buddy System is a simple yet powerful goal tracking approach.

This is a complete system to:
- organize you life visions
- set smart goals and
- focus on weekly next actions.

But the power advantage of this app is your goal buddy.

What is a goal buddy?

Goal buddy is someone, usually a friend you know, who helps you stay on track with your goals.

We give you tips how to find one and you can support each other by monitoring each other's goals progress.

Here are some features of the app:

Goal Buddy Screen
All of us are busy and even if we set goals, most of us forget about them and don't check them regularly. You may relate to the statistics that 92% of all new years resolutions fail usually within the first two weeks.

Our experience is that if you have a goal buddy, 92% of the goals will be achieved. By the help of this app, you can see your buddy's goals and support him/her if needed. The same is true for you. If you don't do what you committed to, expect a call from your goal buddy.

You can use this app to help and get help from your goal buddy and never procrastinate on goals again.

Life visions
You can write down your vision in different areas of life. In Goal Buddy, goal setting is made really simple. You have only two types of goals - a vision and a 90-day goal.

The visions are long term and are like life goals. Visions are the opposite of smart goals. Visions are unrealistic, bold and sometimes outrageous.

You can use this app as your life planner and set your long-term visions.

90-day Goals
To achieve your life goals aka visions, you set 90-day goals.

They are action oriented goals. If you are familiar with smart goals, 90-day goals are similar, but limited to a maximum of 90 days. So your deadline is set within the current quarter.

This forces you to take action and you don't have time to procrastinate because your deadline is near (and not next Christmas).

You cant control the outcomes, you can control only your actions.

That's why the second difference to smart goals is that you don't focus on the results, but focus on the actions.

You can use this app as a goal tracker for your short-term, specific and action oriented goals.

Weekly Next Actions
Next actions are a powerful concept from the Getting Things Done (GTD) system.

In goal buddy you set only one next action, a weekly step for each of your goals.

You can use this app as a weekly to-do list of the few non-urgent but most important steps in your life that will unlock the achievement of your life goals.

The concept is great, but it would be great if you added a section to monitor your life progress in terms of goals achieved by using some charts and diagrams that shows completion percentage and so on... Also I didn't find an option to set a reminder for a step inside a goal. Another small note, I think you need to rethink about the colours of the app, they feel disaturated, are you sure they have to be that way? Thanks for sharing your system, it is of great help even without the app.

A web version in sync with the app would be great ! Have just beginning to use it. But considering it is free, it meets all my needs in terms of managing visions and goals. Best if combined with some other apps.

Looks like a decent app, but there are a few issues with the sign up process that prevents me from using. 1 - When entering your password during sign up, it does not censor it. It acts like it's not even a password field, which is a little scary. 2 - You must agree to receive emails to sign up. That's a deal breaker for me in any situation. To be fair, they say they don't send spam emails, and I have no reason to doubt that, so #2 is more of a personal issue for me.
