App works fine. Just be aware that they even though they say you can browse the internet privately and freely, dont believe them. The Vypyrvpn people monitor you and if they feel your doing something they don't like, you'll get a nasty gram from them telling you that if you continue to go against their rules they will cancel your account so be aware that they watch what you do. Not exactly the privacy you think you are getting.
Couldn't get it to work in Android. I had Vypr set up on an iPhone and Windows laptop for travel in China. It worked fine. But the Android version never even attempted to connect. The button was totally non-responsive. I tried every menu I could find, but it basically just didn't work at all. Love the service on other platforms, but this app just never did anything.
I used this service a month ago and it worked fine in China. Now I tried to hire the service again and after three days of using the service my account was blocked and the system asked me to validate the account. Even I submitted all the information I was ask to provide they blocked my account and told me they could not provide me with the service. Luckily there are better and more reliable VPN companies than GoldenFrog. Stay away from this company.
After using the app for 1 year I cannot say I like the app. Too many issues during this time with the kill switch deactivating itself. Also, when I have purchased the app, I have canceled the yearly subscription and somehow Goldenfrog tried to bill me again recently. Very cheeky!!
I have used VyprVPN for about 3 years and it's always been fast and reliable. Their support is top-notch. It is simply not true that ”they monitor you” as has been claimed here; what IS true is that Golden Frog is more transparent and honest about what can and what cannot be done than most of their competitors. Very much recommended.
This service is very unreliable in China when there's any sort of major event as there has been in the last week. Their customer service is slow and I've not found them to be effective at resolving problems. I find ExpressVPN to be much more reliable and therefore worth the $20 difference in price. Updated in response to developer's reply: I am 13 days into interaction with tech support and have not yet been presented with a viable resolution. I would welcome help from Level 2 Support, but I don't understand why I have to write a nasty review to be offered this support in the first place.
