This is one of the tools in my tool box. My sponsor has me going through the book step by step and sometimes word by word. It's a great reference to read, look up tasks/prayers and get me out of self. I still go to meetings meet with my sponsor, pray, do service work and still have time to live life. The app doesn't do the work for me. I have to get out my pen and paper take notes. Yes I write, underline and am getting highlighters. (The highlighters are after this sponsor takes me through the book the first time, I need "Highlightening for Dummies"...I highlight to much.
I love having this book at my finger tips. I do however, wish that you could bookmark your page or go directly to a certain page instead of having to go to the chapter and scroll to the right page. Also would really like to have a highlighting feature. But seeing as how it's free, can't complain.
good, but could be great. Lots of missing character boxes and inconsistencies in the text from the actual big book. Many of these errors are small, but still could be fixed. Also, a feature where it remembers your place when you come back to the app would be an awesome addition. I'm on a Galaxy S7 running marshmallow.
This app is great. It has the first 164 pages and the 12 steps and traditions. It also has a link to meetings. No other app has all that for free (I checked). But if I had to pay it is priceless. Isn't your sobriety worth it? 11
This program really works! I go to meetings everyday sometimes twice a day it is my new addiction. I've learned so many things about life through the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. I believe the 12 steps should be in the Constitution of the United States of America! A prerequisite for life! At 59 years old, I thought I knew how to manage my life. I was in denial about my disease. The Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous is incredible. Now I know why they say I never had it so good!
The Big Book is another bible for me, esp pages 83 to 88 which I read pretty much every morning. It shows me the "how" of living in the steps on a daily basis. I am so grateful for it.
