I love the service and frequently use the desktop site as well. The app is in general well designed and duplicates most but not all of the functionality of the full site. The app can also be extremely slow to load pages. I'd love to see more work done on the performance side of things. Still, it's good at what it does do.
I really believe that you should take some time to redesign this app. Make it perhaps more aesthetically pleasing, but most of all improve functionality. You can't join or search for groups, you can't edit books as a librarian, and it's generally clunky even for simple browsing.
Is there some reason Goodreads on Android has to look this awful? It's functional but butt ugly. You can do much better than this Amazon, come on.
This app needs a redesign. Very clunky and overly complicated interface. Everything takes ages to load. Frustrating to use. Great content made annoying to access.
I enjoy Goodreads on desktop and my Kindle, so I appreciate having the app on my phone as well. It would be nicer if the design were a little more pleasant and up-to-date, though.
All it's missing is the genres area that shows up on the desktop site for each book.
