About this app

Find out the political donations of thousands of brands!
Search a company and we’ll tell you what we know about the political contributions made by the organization and its executives. Search a politician and see the companies that fund them. Join hundreds of thousands of people already using their purchases to make a difference!

What We're About
Our app exists to bring accountability and transparency to the political process. According to Congress and the Supreme Court, corporations are people and their money is speech. We want you to hear what they're saying.

Simply put, when enough people factor political contributions into their purchase decisions, companies will change who and what they finance politically. We see this as the most powerful way to give you a voice in politics. After all, before the money is theirs to speak with, it’s yours.

How We Vet The Political Donations
Our team has spent tens of thousands of hours vetting companies’ political contributions with the tools available to us, and we’re constantly working to ensure our data is timely.

Disclaimer: This app is not a government product. Political donation data is sourced from publicly available Federal Election Commission (FEC) records at fec.gov.

It was better in the past. i haven't used the app lately and was surprised to find large gaps while scrolling (I'm blocking the ads), there are now paywalled features, and now there's a merch store? The comment section appears to be gone and replaced with social media options (Lemmy is the closest I get to social media). It was a good run but this just isn't worth it to me anymore.

Hi there, servers and data collection cost money which is why we use a freemium model - it keeps the data freely accessible using ads. Thank you for not freeriding with an ad blocker.

I'm glad to have this data readily available and in an easy to parse format. I do hope that they'll consider putting a changelog-like timestamp, though, because there's at least one glaringly outdated item (twitter, showing pre-Musk data) which makes me wonder how old the others are. There's a way to leave a review/comment on each item, but it doesn't seem to encourage an update. I'm also confused by the occasional item being marked with a grey lock icon, sends me to somewhere else.

The quiz to rate yourself is kinda dumb. Because it does not take into account how much you use a business. Such as the fact that I buy groceries at Walmart, Aldi, Costco, and Kroger. But I buy like 80% of my groceries at Aldi. There's a question about clothes but there is no option for second hand or a way to add a place that the app tracks but is not listed. Alternative suggestions are rarely the same kind is place. The app is good at a glance, but doesn't reflect your shopping habits at all.
