Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in.
This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone.

The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or cellular connection.

* Sync your Authenticator codes to your Google Account and across your devices. This way, you can always access them even if you lose your phone.
* Set up your Authenticator accounts automatically with a QR code. This is quick and easy, and it helps to ensure that your codes are set up correctly.

It was perfect until the 'click to reveal pin' feature was added. Please add a configuration to turn this off! How does this add any value to tokens that expire every 30 seconds? Somebody going to read the code, guess the website it should be used on AND guess your password in 30 seconds!? Now it's just another extra step, that in my opinion, isn't user friendly at all. Also, maybe a bit lame, but how do I 'click' on something on my phone? Maybe this shows how much thought went into this!

Despite NTP being enabled on my phone, google authenticator falls out of sync for time every few days it seems. It didn't do this until a few months ago, very annoying! Please fix! Or at least make a feature to automatically sync on a certain schedule. It would also be nice if I was able to make folders, like a work folder, a private folder, etc. Other than that it's a fine app, I just hope that Google will put some much needed development time in, rather than adding frivolous (though welcome) features like a dark mode.

Extremely slow performance on the app when you have more then 20 codes registered. Up to the point where my phone sometimes locks up (it happens the moment the codes refresh, it seems it cannot handle refreshing so many codes at once). It used to work fine for years and years until a couple updates ago (past 2 years) when everything inside the app started to become very slow.
