I have not only viewed, for "free," many "samples" of many books on Play Books, but I have also PURCHASED many of those exact same books. That said, why for "some" of those same Books that I had paid for, some I can copy and paste from with no restrictions, others, strangely enough, I can not, even though, in the end, I understand "copyrights" and so on and so on. My opinion: distracting, extra-burdensome, time-wasting--and, frankly, not a good way to keep one shopping at the same (ANY) store.

First, Google home assistant doesn't see my audio books in my library so I have to manually cast from my phone to Google home for it to read my book. Second, every time I open the app, it goes backward from where I stopped the day before. Sometimes it's one or two or five chapters, sometimes it goes back to the very beginning. It is really pissing me off!!!!!!! 🤬😡

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your app, Bev. These steps are for the Play Store but should also help with your Play Books app: https://goo.gle/2tPy0rx. If not, please contact us directly: https://goo.gle/2QyJZSb. Thanks.

I'd much rather read the books on a different device, but they're content protected so that's impossible. I downloaded about 10 free books, and have peeked at them, but they will probably go unread. I'm just NOT going to read them on a phone. So I guess my complaint is inflexibility and zero options for file format.

Hi William. You can read books from Google Play on most e-readers. You’ll need to download them to your computer and transfer them to the e-reader. To learn how do this, go here: http://goo.gle/2OftmNQ. Hope this helps.
