It does work the easy way just as Google explains. I'm printing now from my phone to my printer at work. Very impressive! In addition, if you don't know anything and actually would like to learn, simply type your question in Google search. Like, "How to use Google cloud print", etc. It's 21st century. Use your technology, not for games only, but for improving your level. Do not let only your phone have the prefix "smart".
WTH happened? This used to work beautifully and I recommended it to everyone. But somewhere down the line something on Google's end went amok and now all I'm getting is an error message that says the print spooler has stopped working. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and clearing the cache but neither helped.
Great app and idea I had an old printer and hooked up Google Cloud to it and loved that I can print anywhere in the world to my printer. Then I bought a new HP wireless printer and it had ePrint where you can email stuff to it to have a similar function - I said No thanks and hooked Google cloud to it. Google cloud has changed my life and I love printing again (before I would grunt and have to physically get my laptop hooked to the printer, find the content then print- now I print from my phone).
Works great - Had to contact Brother to enable Cloud Printing UPDATE: Works flawlessly. I had to contact Brother to go into the printer's deeper settings using the Web and it's been printing and scanning great from my phone! OLD PROBLEM:Was so excited for this feature only to learn when I finally get an eligible printer that it doesn't work. A search online verifies that the app is riddled with bugs. 😔 As recommended online, I will download and install the apk of the older version of this app, which worked perfectly.
People need to learn how to use this Its not broken, silent or invisible. Its a system plugin that in the background links your printers in real computer's through chrome and your Google account. You need to enable cloud printing in Chrome on your pc and add the printer for android to find it and use it as a cloud printer. Works fine. Does is job. People are just dumb and can't Google how to use something if they can't figure it out in 6 seconds.
More hassle than it's worth Can't figure how this saves any time or adds convenience. So not intuitive for the Google Apps UI, hard to find. Not worth the bother unless you'll never switch networks with devices, have various devices, or anything not stupid simple. But any configuration that's more complex is just not compatible, if it does ever work it's a fluke. Forget about it.
