Google Drive had been my computer since the early days of Google introducing this amazing service. I have lost and broken ment laptops since I started using Google Drive and yet I have not lost a single document, image or any of my other work. I also trust Google with my highly sensitive business information because of Google's two-factor verification. I highly recommend trying this application if you haven't yet, whether it's for simple storing or creating and managing documents, spreadsheets, presentations etc. Also if you haven't yet, try Google Drive on the web and get to know all of its awesome features.
Mike, Moto e running 6 This is a very useful app, BUT... There needs to be a pin access to open it. When other people use our phone or we lose it, an unlocked app is not safe. Other than that, the app allows me to edit and control my files with my phone and then carry on using my Chromebook, great. Pin access please, Google.
I use Drive to back up everything. Security isn't a problem as I use 7Zip to condense and password-protect my files. I can access my files from my Pixel 2 XL, my Pixel C and my computer. Backup&Sync keeps it all together. I can share anything, from any of my devices and view it on any of them. And 15GB free! What's not to love?
Why this app constantly ask for updates? When nothing changes? Where is pass code option? Where is fingerprint log in, are you freaking insane? Don't mess with security, if I lost my phone, or stolen, anyone who finds it can access my files. Add download whole folder option? Is that really hard? And ENOUGH WITH WEEKLY UPDATES!!! Sort out app already.
I love this app. All my pictures and videos are on Google drive. No need to worry about running out of space or losing them if I loose a device. They are all neatly in one place. Th update rocks because I can see a thumbnail before I open a pic and I can scroll as if I am in my gallery. Also love that I can share files with anyone. I keep all my recipes on drive too, so now if I'm at the super market, I can easily see what I need for dinner. Awesome organization tool.
Installed by default on all Android devices, but can be disabled. Google Drive as a service is awesome. 15 GB on a super reliable and secure server, connected to your portal to all Google, for free? That sure beats DropBox's whopping 500 MB and OneDrive's not reliable or that secure network. As an app, it works pretty dang good too, and for any Google Drive user, is the most useful app you can have for managing Google Drive on your phone! [Review streak: 2]
